Due to the complexities of the Ethiopian financial system and to keep our operational costs low, we have partnered with Wise and Payoneer. These platforms offer excellent exchange rates, high security, and are widely accessible to our international clients, ensuring a smooth payment process for everyone.

A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking and confirm your tour dates. The remaining 70% balance is due 30 days before your arrival date. For bookings made less than 30 days before arrival, full payment is required.

We understand that plans can change. Our standard cancellation policy is:

  • More than 60 days before departure: Full refund of your deposit.
  • 59 to 30 days before departure: 50% of the deposit is refundable.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: No refund.

Please note that specific terms may vary for custom packages. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

While major hotels, airlines, and upscale restaurants in Addis Ababa accept credit cards, their use is very limited elsewhere in the country. ATMs are readily available in Addis, but can be unreliable outside the capital.

For local markets, smaller shops, and most souvenir purchases, cash is essential. We strongly advise carrying a mix of cash (Ethiopian Birr) and having your credit card as a backup.

Travel Preparation & Requirements

Most travelers require a visa to enter Ethiopia. Tourists can obtain an e-Visa online before travel via the official Ethiopian Immigration Service website.

Some nationalities may also be eligible for a visa on arrival at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, but we strongly recommend the e-Visa for a smoother entry.

Your safety is Our Top Priority.

Our Stance: Addis Ababa and the vast majority of Ethiopia’s main tourist destinations (such as Lalibela, Gondar, Axum, the Simien Mountains, and the Omo Valley) are generally safe and stable for tourism.

We continuously monitor the situation through official channels and our local network.

Our Process: We provide all clients with a pre-arrival safety briefing and will immediately advise you of any changes to your itinerary that may be necessary for your safety.

Your Responsibility: We strongly advise all travelers to:

  • Check their home country’s travel advisory for the latest official information.
  • Purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical evacuation.
  • Register with their embassy upon arrival in Ethiopia.

Our team is available 24/7 during your tour for any concerns.
